New York Bagels in Kill Devil Hills

I love going to Ny bagels every time I come to the outer banks. They are some of the best bagels I’ve ever had and the people there are very nice. The cream cheese is also very good.

9 am and almost sold out was a perfect example of this lovely place. I waited 15 minutes because there were more being made - hot delicious and perfect.

I love John and his freshly baked bagels every morning! My favorite is the bacon maple glazed bagel with walnut cream cheese! I also love the peach danish! It’s all sooooo good!

The bagels were delicious. The eggs and bacon left something to be desired, but overall still good.

My husband had a breakfast sandwich that was terrible. They pulled a premade egg patty out of the fridge and popped it in the microwave along with a thick piece of pork roll. We've found better bagels at nonbagel fast food chains. Nasty.

I was convinced I wouldn't find a good Bagel at the beach. N.Y. Bagels proves that right. I have no issue with customer service, just the bland, dense, and stale day old bagels that I received on my visit. At 8am in the morning, you'd expect a fresh, possibly still warm bagel, not something from yesterday that didn't age well. I suspect, even fresh, these bagels are nothing to write home about. They are bad enough to warn others.

Worst bagels I've ever had. The cinammon raisin was inedible, melted and sticky. Ruined the "egg bagel" in the same bag, that tasted like cardboard anyway. The two sandwiches were a joke. He said he broke real eggs. No way. It was a microwave pre-made tasteless thing.

PLEASE take NY out of the name this place is NOTHING close to NY. I don’t think any business should ever charge you for microwaved food; especially a microwaved bagel.

Delicious bagels and quality coffee. I recommend the plain bagel toasted with strawberry cream cheese. The amazing customer service was also a pleasant surprise.

Yummy homemade bagels! Pay no attention to the poor reviews, the bagels are fresh and delicious, made up every morning. The folks that own/run the place are very nice. There's a good reason this is our go-to for breakfast every morning we're staying in the Outer Banks.

Great bagels

Great bagel sandwiches must get there early or they run out.

The appearance was outdated. Expensive for poor quality. Requested toasted bagels which were not toasted. Cream cheese was spread so thin half of the bagel was without. I ordered the veggie cream cheese which was just regular cream cheese with celery and carrots; it really didn't taste like much other than crunchy cream cheese. When inquiring about the 'egg everything bagel' versus the everything bagel we were advised that the egg bagel was an everything bagel with food coloring. We weren't even sure what the correlation was with egg or if it had egg in it.

Overpriced supermarket bagels, nothing like a NY bagel.

Friendly staff, always a few locals hanging out. Fresh NY style Bagels. Breakfast Bagel sandwiches are on point. Try the Cheese Everything Bagel!

Limited selection at 9am, but very nice, fresh, good quality bagel. Really liked the cinnamon raison and blueberry bagels!! Excellent cream cheese. Took a dozen to go.

Bagels are freshly baked every morning. They say they close early if they sell out for the day. Been there only once but it was obviously understaffed. It was on Sunday early May, but I had to wait like 15min before I could even order. One lady was taking orders and making sandwiches all by herself, that's why. I would not go back there during peak season. Bagels are OK.

Really awful breakfast sandwiches. 100% different than NY Bagel back home. Bagels were akin to a frozen Lender’s Bagel.

I drove to address listed on the Google no New York bagels Store not there I guess it's closed. saw there was another location for New York bagels drove there 11 AM sign on window sold out website says they are open till 530 they suck back to Dunkin' Donuts

So good! The bagels are baked fresh everyday. Egg sandwiches, flavored cream cheeses....yummo!

I am from out of town but everytime I am down here, I make it a point to visit and get some bagels. Their sandwiches are delicious and the service is great!

Great place for breakfast or lunch (if you catch them before they sell out for the day). We used to rent closer to NYB but now drive a bit to eat here/ worth the drive!

The service was fast and friendly. We arrived at 9 on a Sunday and they seemed out of most options so I'm assuming they are busy early on. We ordered the egg and cheese bagel and they were very good. Kid friendly options too. I would defiantly go here again

Microwaved procced egg product, microwaved bacon on an awful bread type product in the shape of an actual bagel. We should have listened to the other reviews. Please please take the "NY" out of your name. False advertising.

Bagels are decent. Not close to NYC bagels though. The NY in the store name is definitely misleading and it is probably the reason reviews are so low. It sets expectations very high. You can't associate something with the best unless your something can compete.

Love the egg everything bagels...its a constant bake because you never know how many bagels the customer in front will order so their always baking..best to call ahead for big orders their baked to order. Jalapeno cream cheese with tomatoes is my favorite

More like bread with a hole in the middle than a bagel. Very few options, poor quality overall.

830 am on a Friday morning and they have no bagels. “If you want to wait 20 minutes we will have some.” No thanks.

These so called bagels just look like under done rolls to me. Pale, skinny, dry- not chewy. Wouldn't even brown up in the toaster. Don't waste your time or money going here looking for a true authentic New York style bagel because they aren't here. I am a Northerner and know a true NY style bagel...trust me this ain't it. Not worth one star.

It was just a name, not a taste

Bagels were kind of rubbery, not that nice outside crunch and chewy center you expect from a NY style bagel.. I ordered an egg bagel with the walnut raisin cream cheese, but couldnt even take more than a bite of it due to an overwhelming onion taste.. just awful

A great local business! John is the best! Bagels are very tasty. We are part-time locals and never go to OBX without a breakfast here!

Breakfast sandwiches are not great. Everything is microwaved with them. Bagels are decent.
